Importing manga nowEdit

Trying to import the manga articles in batches, but large files aren't allowed, so going to have to do just a dozen or so at a time I suppose. Got to go to my niece's birthday party now. Will work on this when I get back. I hope to have a complete listing. Dream Focus 18:38, July 11, 2010 (UTC)

• Been doing it bit by bit. If anyone knows a way to grab all the histories, and the images in the articles, automatically, and import them here, let me know. I grab large number of articles at a time, but sometimes it just stops before they are uploaded. Also if the file size is 10mb or above, it says its too large, and won't bother trying. Not a week goes without several manga article being deleted from Wikipedia, even those that have been around for years, or in popular manga magazines, or with millions of copies sold. If the manga don't get reviewed in any third party newspapers or magazines considered as reliable sources by those over there, then they delete it. Hundreds of articles have been lost so far, since the only places that talk about manga are the magazines that publish them within them, and that doesn't count as a third person review. They don't review what their competition is publishing, obviously. Thus almost all manga articles are surely doomed, all attempts at reasoning with people over there has failed. Importing done I hopeEdit

There are 2437 items that category manga shows on the Wikipedia. I tried to import all of them, along with the templates. It says I have 2,474 contributions so far, so hopefully I got them all. After Google has time to cache everything, I'll search for all those articles with the manga series category link in them, and see how many it is. That'll be easier than clicking on the category listing, and clicking "Next 200" 12 times, to get to the ending, and then counting to see if there are 37 things there or not. Even more articles found!Edit

It says there are 5,106 articles on this Wiki. But I just imported another thousand more. Have to wait for it to update its count to see how many. Hope the importing didn't time out. Divided the mass into five parts. Found an article that linked to something I didn't have but should've so checked the Wikipedia, and added the categories it was in that seemed like something that should be here, various manga magazines and whatnot, and did some importing. I now have 6,444 contributions to my name, and most of those are just articles being imported, so over a thousand new things added. If you see anything I missed, just let me know and I'll get it. I've made 16,290 contributions thus far and there 8,299 articles on this wiki. That means I imported thousands of templates, to try to make things work right, since there is no way possible to go through thousands of articles and change things by hand. Dream Focus 10:41, August 22, 2010 (UTC)

• Once again, when looking through articles I found a character list wasn't there, it a red link. So I checked and got that entire category again. The category "Lists of anime and manga characters" has now been successfully imported. I now have 17,220 edits to my name. Dream Focus 19:10, September 14, 2010 (UTC)

Templates finally fixedEdit

The infobox templates work perfectly now. Summary: killed automatic bot that kept me from fixing it, and then took the red link template that doesn't exist, template:subst:, and made a blank page there so blankness loads up instead of the red link. Did the same thing with some pointless templates, irritating tags by haters, which were on many articles I imported over. Replaced anything there, with a blank page, so nothing loads up. Wish I knew how to remove those entirely, but alas, I do not. So this works out just as well. Tried telling others how to do it as well in various places. [1] Dream Focus 10:53, October 31, 2010 (UTC)
