Human Characters[]

Season 1 (Jewelpet)[]

Rinko Kougyoku[]

  • Seiyu: Eri Kamei

Rinko Kougyoku (紅玉りんこ Kōgyoku Rinko?) is the main heroine of Jewelpet and Ruby's human partner. A 14-year-old Junior High School student from Takaragaseki City, Rinko is a normal girl who dreams of her Prince Charming on a horse who will come and rescue her someday. Although she both attends Junior High School while on Earth and the Magic Academy in Jewel Land, Rinko also has Acrophobia, can be timid sometimes and has bad English speaking skills. She along with Ruby and her friends were chosen by the Four Great Magicians of Jewel Land to gather all the lost Jewelpets back to Jewel Land before something bad happens to both worlds. She has a crush on the mysterious person Andy, who is really a Jewelpet named Dian in disguise. In Episode 47, she is under Dian's spell and was captured by him, so that he could marry her while in his human form and in Episode 48, she somehow lost the Jewel Stick as Dian finally possessed it while Rinko and Akira reclaimed it in Episode 50. It's also revealed that Rinko is the prophesied savior of both the Human World and Jewel Land along with Ruby. In Episode 52, After they defeated Dark Dian, She was waiting between Akira's house and her house. Rinko told him she wanted him to hear what she had to say, but Akira teased her asking if she was too lonely without Ruby. They ended up arguing, but when Akira was about to go back to his house Rinko told him to wait and she confessed to him. They were about to kiss as well, but Ruby was in the middle and the couple ended up not kissing.

Rinko is the only person who can use two Magical Items, the Jewel Pocketbook (ジュエル手帳?), used to awaken Jewelpets from their Jewel State along with Ruby, and the Jewel Stick (ジュエルステッキ?), which she uses to cast Magic. In Episode 48, Dian stole the Jewel Stick from her. In Episode 50, Akira and Rinko reclaimed the Jewel Stick from Dian but all of its powers were gone.

Minami Asaoka[]

Minami Asaoka (朝岡みなみ Asaoka Minami?) is Rinko's childhood friend and Garnet's human partner. Also 14 years old, and attending Junior High School, Minami is a member of the school's Kendo Club whose family owns an Okonomiyaki shop in the city Suburbs. She's very tomboyish and always uses her Kendo skills in some situations, though she admires her club senior Miyamoto. Also, she's very supportive to Rinko in some situations where she may give up in a battle. Even though to her personality, she likes the colour pink and also stuffed animals, the reason why she decorated her room pink. She helps Rinko and Aoi in finding the lost Jewelpets on Earth. Minami is one of the characters in the first season whose mother is not shown.

Aoi Arisugawa[]

Aoi Arisugawa (有栖川あおい Arisugawa Aoi?) is the Daughter of the Principal of the school Rinko attends in and Sapphy's human partner. Also 14 years old, Aoi is the richest girl in Takaragaseki City, seeing that her family owned a lot of establishments there. Calm but with a gentle heart, she wanted to have a real best friend seeing that even with her highest status, she can feel lonely and sad at times. After her Jewelpet partner Sapphy was awakened, everyone convinced her that her best friends were on her side all along and after that, she helped Rinko and Minami in finding the other lost Jewelpets. She was taken care of by her trusted butler Genshirou in her mansion when her parents were away. Aoi has a crush on Naoto Sakuragi.

Keigo Taitou[]

Keigo Taitō (帯刀啓吾 Taitō Keigo?) is a secretary from the Prime Minister of Japan, who knows the Jewelpet's existence in secrecy as well as Flora's Human partner. Keigo knows about Ruby's arrival to Earth and Rinko and her friends' involvement about Jewel Land and the Jewelpets. He assigned Rinko, Aoi, Minami and their Jewelpet partners to help him and the government in secret to find all the Jewelpets and prevent Diana and Dian to do further trouble on Earth. His English knowledge is very skillful and has a good skills in basketball. His friends calls him Tatewaki or Taki (タッキー Taaki?).

Genshirou Hatori[]

Genshirou Hatori (服部玄士郎 Hatori Genshirō?) is the head butler of the Arisugawa mansion and King's human partner. A man who studied martial arts, He served the Ariusgawa family for 70 years and protected Alice with his life. He has seven scars on his back which came from Alice's childhood, originating from the Takoyaki balls that fell onto his back while protecting her. Because of that, he gains super-human strength and abilities. His name is a parody of the main character of Fist of the North Star, Kenshiro, right down to his signature moves.

Naoto Sakuragi[]

Naoto Sakuragi (桜木ナオト Sakuragi Naotō?) is Aqua's human partner. A High school student who is doing a part-time job in conveyor-belt sushi shop. In his past, he was been bullied due to he's weak, but likes to take care of small animals. After his pet goldfish died due to the bullying, his grandmother conforted him and said that he must use his feelings as his stenght to defend others. He is one of the people who got cursed due to Diana's dark magic after finding out he possess the Clownfish Jewelpet, Aqua. He also has feelings to Aoi after saving her and Sapphy from the thugs he knew.

Akira Nanase[]

Akira Nanase (七瀬晃 Nanase Akira?) is Nephrite's human partner, who first appeared in Episode 16. Akira is Rinko's best friend from America, who suddenly migrated back to Japan and to live as her neighbor. He's part of a Basketball Team in New York City, USA and knows how to play it well through the rules. He's also an expert English Speaker, in which sometimes he brags it in front of Rinko. His Father is a Photographer and often away on his photography business, leaving him in charge of the housework. No one knows about his mother as of now. Even though he can brag sometimes, he has a secret crush on Rinko and hates Dian on how he influenced her. In Episode 52, he and Rinko were about to kiss in the end, but got interfered by Ruby and Nephrite.

Season 2 (Jewelpet Tinkle)[]

Akari Sakura[]

Akari Sakura (桜あかり Sakura Akari?) is the main Heroine of Jewelpet Tinkle and both Ruby and Labra's human partner. She is 11 years old, and a student of the Wiston Educational Institute on Earth as well as the younger sister of Monica Sakura, a famous teen personality and student council president in Middle School. Bright, gentle, shy but can get embarrassed sometimes, she lives with her parents. Her Dad is a shipbuilding architect while her Mom is the chief editor at a magazine and because of her older sister's popularity, she developed an inferiority complex and jealousy to her sister. She first met Ruby on the beach when waiting for the bus, at first she thought she couldn't understand her but soon as it progressed, Ruby understood about on how hard her life is and how sad and miserable she is sometimes. She then realized that the feelings of her heart matches Ruby's after a Jewel Charm appeared on her hand. She then entered the Magic Academy afterwards, and became a student along with Ruby as her partner. Akari has goals to win the championship with Ruby in the Jewel Star Grand Prix and to earn the tile of being a Jewel Star. But her wish is somehow undecided as of yet, though she has a lot of competition to top over. Akari can do magic by using her Jewel Charm along with Ruby and Labra, changing her regular attire to her Pink Magical Costume to increase her magical powers.

Miria Marigold Mackenzie[]

Miria Marigold Mackenzie (ミリア・マリーゴールド・マッケンジー Miria Marigorudo Makenzie?) is Garnet and Sango's human partner in Jewelpet Tinkle. Miria is an American girl who lives in Hollywood, loves watching cartoons and loves to dress up as a cat. She considered herself as an "KMB" or "Kanzen Muketsu Bishojo" and has a crush on Leon, while she can brag about her magical skills. She can also be a bit irresponsible sometimes on her magic but then later learns her mistakes. She both misses her parents, who where both singer and manager, making her very upset. When she obtains the Jewel Star title, she wished that she would become a pop star just like her mother. Her only fear is snakes but Miria has good magical skills and can use the Jewel Charm to cast magic as well along with Garnet and Sango, also changing her clothes to her Magical Costume to amplify her magic.

Leon[]

  • Seiyu: Kenji Akabane, Aki Kanada (Younger Version)

Leon (レオン Reon?) is Dian's Human Partner and the oldest candidate of the Jewel Star Grand Prix. A guy born from a Austrian Aristocrat, he has high awareness on magic and an expert magician and swordsman, who can use both magic and his swordsmanship. He can also turn his pen into a sword by using magic and uses it in any battles he encounters. Miria has a big crush on him and he admires Akari's determination in her magic studies. His past is tragic due to the lost of his pet dog Roger since his childhood before he met Dian. Dian encourages him to cheer up and never became depressed and shameful in front of the grave of his departed pet. His wish when he obtains the Jewel Star title is to be the king of Jewel Land and improve the relation between the Human World and Jewel Land. It was revealed that he was the only human who can use the Jewel Pot and he and Dian can cast magic using the Jewel Charm as well. But it's unknown if he has a magical costume.

Sara[]

Sara (沙羅 Sara?) is Sapphy's human partner in Jewelpet Tinkle. A half Japanese and half Indian girl, with red eyes and blue hair, she's the genius prodigy of the trio who likes science, especially chemistry and physics, inventions and always reads magic books. She lives away from her parents and doesn't talk much, sometimes becoming a cold-hearted person. She is expert on doing magic using chemistry and magic physics, while making her experiments successful. Both Nicolas and Miria think that she is weird, but Akari thinks that Sara is a nice person inside, although she doesn't show it. She and Nicolas are rivals due to their knowledge in magic. She is afraid of mushrooms and thinks they are scary. Her wish after she obtains the Jewel Star title is still unknown. She and Sapphy can cast magic using her Jewel Charm, also changing her attire to her Blue Magician's Outfit to amplify her magic.

Nicola[]

  • Seiyu: Momoko Ohara

Nicola (ニコラ Nikora?) is Titana's human partner and the youngest of all the Jewel Star Contestants. He's a young genius pianist from Russia and a smart aleck who likes to annoy Akari and Ruby and call himself a Super Genius, even though he's a brat. He also calls Ruby and Akari "Dropping pair" due to their low magical ranking. Everyone including Miria sometimes consider him as an annoying and arrogant kid, and sometimes makes Labra cry. He also stands as Sara's rival in the Jewel Star Grand Prix due to their knowledge in magic. His meeting with Titana happened after he won a piano championship as his knowledge in the piano is good. But her mother thinks she's not pleased with his achievements, making him sad as he was ordered to practice more so he can't get embarrassed. He then met Titana when he's crying while practicing at the same time. Titana liked his performance and Nicolas broke down to tears of joy as someone likes his performance that he practiced from the heart. His wish after he obtains the Jewel Star title is be recognized as a famous pianist and wanting his mother to recognize his achievements even more as her son. Nicolas and Titana can also use magic together and like Leon, his costume is not yet known.

Yuma Kamiusa[]

Yuma Kamiusa (神内 祐馬 Kamiusa Yuuma?) is Akari's crush and in school, in fact he is in the same class as she does. He's calm, nice and somehow helps Akari out in a pinch. His parents died a long time ago, now living with his grandparents. He also likes basketball, which in Episode 17, he's part of the school's basketball team. In episode 24, Yuma has a strange birthmark on his right arm, stating that both he and Alma were once a single person. But how the both of them were separated is unknown.

Monica Sakura[]

Monica Sakura (桜モニカ Sakura Monika?) is Akari's older sister, a famous teen Celebrity and student council president of the school Akari attends. Because of her popularity, Akari developed an inferiority complex towards her, making her depressed and jealous. She is unaware about Akari's attendance in the Magic Academy in Jewel Land and even the existence of the Jewelpets even though both Ruby and Labra were living with Akari.

Judy[]

  • Seiyu: Hisako Kanamoto

Judy (ジュディ Juudi?) is Prase's human partner. She's the former champion of the Jewel Star Grand Prix as well as a former student of the Magic Academy who once obtained the title of being the Jewel Star along with the crown. She appeared before Akari when she was transported 12 years ago to the past while learning the Rangula magic spell. She's like Akari and she's not confident about her magic, and encourages Akari to mend and restore the bells of the Magic Academy. She graduated from the academy a long time ago after she won before Akari and Ruby met 12 years later.

Celine Bright[]

Celine Bright (セリーヌ・ブライト?) is Miria's mother. She is a good singer and famous worldwide celebrity, dubbing her as the famous Queen of Pop. She sincerely thinks her daughter to be important though she is busy, and is possible to be with her together. Miria and Akari met her younger self in Episode 14 along with Miria's younger self. Miria's older self told to her not to give up on her dreams and her daughter, even though it's hard to be apart due to her career.

Akira Sakura[]

Akira Sakura (桜 晃 Sakura Akira?) is Akari and Monica's father. He is a shipbuilding architect working in the design of one of the ships in his company. Though he can be a bit lazy and sometimes gets tired a lot, he is a good father to both Akari and Monica. His favourite hobby is fishing and he has a collection of fishing rods that he received through mail orders, a thing that his wife is not happy about.

Marie Sakura[]

  • Seiyu: Takahashi Midori

Marie Sakura (桜 万里絵 Sakura Marie?) is Akari and Monica's mother. She's a chief editor at a magazine in which her sister is featured as well as a good mother. She is somehow unaware on Ruby's identity as a Jewelpet as Akari is taking care of her in their house. Though caring, she can be strict too to her husband, especially when it comes to Mail Orders.

Marinanne Granmanier Chocolat Julian Jerry[]

Marinanne Granmanier Chocolat Julian Jerry (マリアンヌ・グランマニエル・ショコラ・ジュリアンジェリー?) is Kaiya's Human Partner and Akari's rival in the Magic Academy. A member of the Magical Angels, she is a "Celebrity Angel" and candidate of the Jewel Star Grand Prix who has collected all 12 Jewel Stones in her study in the Magic Academy. She first appeared in the end of Episode 15 along with her two sisters and formally debuted in Episode 16. She has a strong crush on Leon and despises the newbie students who were too weak on their studies. She thinks Leon is paying too much attention to Akari, Miria and Sara, causing her to get jealous on them, especially to Akari. Despite her personality, her magic skills is above the average students since she has 12 Jewel Stones.

Catherine Granmanier Chocolat Julian Jerry[]

  • Seiyu: Rei Matsuzaki

Catherine Granmanier Chocolat Julian Jerry (カトリーヌ・グランマニエル・ショコラ・ジュリアンジェリー?) is the second member of the Magical Angels and Riru's Human Partner. Known as the "Sexy Angel", She is the second oldest sister of Marianne and a expert magician as well, having 10 Jewel Stones on her hand.

Angelina Granmanier Chocolat Julian Jerry[]

Angelina Granmanier Chocolat Julian Jerry (アンジェリーナ・グランマニエル・ショコラ・ジュリアンジェリー?) is the third member of the Magical Angels and Amelie's Human Partner. She is referred to as the 'Maid Angel' She is the youngest of all the sisters and the bit of an novice magician, only having 9 Jewel Stones.

Season 1[]

Raku Majo[]

  • Seiyu: Nakano Inoue

Raku Majo (ラクマージョ Raku Majō?) is the leader of the Four Great Magicians and ruler of Jewel Land in Season 1. She is the one who gives Rinko and Ruby some advice on how to find the Jewelpets as well as the one who gives info to the Prime Minister about the Jewelpet's existence in secret, until the secret was exposed to the world. She also has an ability to create a Jewelpet through a special altar using her magic. Her symbolic color is Pink.

Ki Majo[]

  • Seiyu: Mariko Nagahama

Ki Majo (キマージョ Ki Majō?) is the first of the Four Great Magicians, who Represents Happiness and Joy. Her symbolic color is Yellow.

Do Majo[]

Do Majo (ドマージョ Do Majō?) is the second of the Four Great Magicians, who Represents anger and rage. Her symbolic color is Red.

Ai Majo[]

Ai Majo (アイマージョ Ai Majō?) is the third of the Four Great Magicians, who represents sadness and pity. Her symbolic color is Blue.

Halite[]

  • Seiyu: Mika Ishibashi

Halite (ハーライト Haraito?) is the homeroom teacher of Ruby's Class in Jewel Land. She is an expert magician who teaches the Jewelpets how to use their Jewel Eyes well in Magic. She sometimes scolds Moldavite when he's sleeping in his speech and to his really funny but annoying antics. Her Jewelpet assistants are Luna and Milky. Her name is based on the mineral Halite, commonly known as Rock Salt.

Sulfur[]

  • Seiyu: Atsushi Kousaka

Sulfur (サルファー Sarufaa?) is one of the male teachers of Jewel Land and Tour's partner. He's somehow the scaredy cat of all the magicians of Jewel Land and sometimes gets unlucky punishments. Though in Episode 10, another Sulfur exists who is determined, brave and isn't scared. But turned out to be an illusion. His name is based on Sulfur, a type of chemical element.

Moldavite[]

  • Seiyu: Hiroshi Shimozaki

Moldavite (モルダヴァイト Morudavaito?) is the Headmaster of the Magic Academy, where the Jewelpets attend to learn about magic. He's also Rin's partner in Jewelpet Tinkle and has a close relation with Jewelina. Although he retains his position as Headmaster, he's very jolly, likes karaoke and orders a lot of magic stuff through Magical Mail Order. He also ends up getting scolded or punished by Halite. But despite of his antics, his magical level is in the same level as Jewelina's. His name is based on Moldavite, a mineral crystal found in meteorite craters.

Season 2[]

Jewelina[]

  • Seiyu: Ao Takahashi

Jewelina (ジュエリーナ Juerina?) is the Queen and Ruler of Jewel Land in Season 2. She is the most powerful of all the magicians of Jewel Land and has created the Jewelpets a long time ago from the positive traits of all human beings on Earth. She also created the Jewel Star crown and the Jewel Star Grand Prix. In Episode 8, Judy mentions about her during a conversation with Akari and appeared in front of everyone during the festival in Jewel Land in Episode 20. She is also Alma's foster parent and somehow had a connection between her and Yuma.

Tametorin and Toristein[]

Tametorin (タメトリン Tametorin?) and Toristein (トリスティンー Torisutein?) are both female cat siblings of Jewel Land and the two owners of the Magic Shop in the town in Jewel Land. The two are Identical Twins, judging from their Arabian-style clothing, except for their heterochromic eyes, tiara and the color of their clothes. She and her sister gave the Jewel Pot and the Rare Rare Drops to Ruby. Both Twins became the recurring characters of the series and also has good knowledge in magic as well, but not to an extent like the teachers of the Magic Academy. They also possess a Jewel Pot, which is used to browse on some spells they can use.

Jolly and Mary[]

  • Seiyu: N/A

Jolly (ジョリー Jorii?) and Mary (メリー Merii?) are the mascot characters of Moldavite's Mail-Order Magazine, the Jewel Net Harada. They're both female poodles and just like Tametorin and Toristein, they're also Identical Twins but the only difference is that Jolly has cream colored fur and wears a blue Playboy bunny outfit while Mary has brown colored fur and wears a red Playboy bunny outfit. They both introduce recommended magic goods for the magic mail order. And Moldavite likes them both, which makes Halite angry sometimes.

Aiamupen[]

  • Seiyu: Tetsuya Yanagihara

Aiamupen (アイアムペン Aiamupen?) is a magical fountain pen shaped like a penguin who comes in the Jewel Net Harada's Manga Set. He transforms from a usual pen to a penguin to usually help cartoonists in a deadline, especially on Akari's situation on her current comic that she's about to finish. He also has the ability to talk and also can cast magic by writing down a magic spell onto the paper, though he sometimes makes mistakes. He is now currently living with Akari as a tutor for her to make decent manga.

Fountain Dragon[]

The Fountain Dragon (泉のドラゴン Izumi no Doragon?) is a powerful dragon who lives in a mountains of Jewel Land, guarding the Dragon's Fountain at the top of the mountains. He is blue in color, has azure eyes, a mustache and wears a pair of glasses. He is very intellectual and actually gentle but sometimes can attack intruders when disturbed. In the events of Episode 13, he intentionally attacked Akari and Leon as part of their test to get another Jewel Stone.

Ruby[]

Ruby (ルビー Rubi?) is Rinko and Akari's Jewelpet partner and the secondary heroine of the series. She is a White Japanese Hare who symbolizes courage and wears a pink and red cherry blossom on her head. She also wears a necklace shaped like a pair of red cherries. Ruby is the only Jewelpet who has the "Acrylic Class" ranking due to her magic, which can cause bad luck and explosions when she casts it to someone but sometimes her magic has 1% chance of success. Due to her bad behavior, in-attendance and goofing off, she was punished by the Four Great Magicians of Jewel Land, turning her into a Jewel Charm and sent her to Earth to find all of her lost friends. Her Jewel Charm form fell into Rinko's drinking glass on that night and then being awakened by Rinko's Magic using the Jewel Pocketbook the next day. Her personality is a bit joyful, brash, happy and sometimes a BIG troublemaker, which makes her partner Rinko have a hard time handling her. Despite all of this, she and Rinko were appointed to find the other missing Jewelpets on Earth and handling every problem her partner encounters. It's revealed that Ruby is the ancestor of the savior of both the Human World and Jewel Land along with Rinko's Ancestor. She has a big crush on Tour the American shorthair cat and sometimes called "Romper Lady" by him. in Episode 51, She earned her "Superior Crystal Class" rank in magic after a trial given to her and summoned Opal the unicorn in the final battle against Dark Dian. But then she found out that it was temporary as she is now back as an Acrylic Class Jewelpet. In Jewelpet Tinkle, Ruby is a new Student in the Magic Academy. Her first test to get in is to find a Human Partner on Earth which the feelings of her heart matches hers, which happens after she met Akari. After that, she got accepted in the academy along with Akari and lives with her in the human world. Her birthday is on July 29 and her name is based on the Gemstone Ruby.

Ruby can also use the Jewel Pocketbook to awaken Jewelpets from their jewel forms. She can also wield a miniaturized version of the Jewel Stick for her magic or with Garnet and Sapphy, to summon other Jewelpets from Jewel Land. She has also the ability to summon Opal. In Season 2, Ruby is the only Jewelpet who can use the Jewel Pot while she and Labra can cast magic together with Akari during some situations in Jewel Land.

Garnet (ガーネット Ganetto?) is Minami and Miria's Jewelpet partner, a fluffy pink Persian Cat who symbolizes love and wears a red bow and a pink jewel necklace. Just like her human partner, Garnet loves the colour pink and likes cute stuff like Minami does. At first she doesn't like her partner, but when Minami showed Garnet her room, she finally changed her mind. She is sassy, tough, likes cute stuff and sometimes hates really bad men, sometimes bringing up the term "Quadruple A" on some points. She earned the "Glass Class" ranking in magic because her magic can have a success rate of 50%. In Jewelpet Tinkle, she and Sango were both Miria's Jewepets, both performing magic along with her. She and Sango has a crush on Dian. Her birthday is on January 8 and her name is based on the Gemstone Garnet.

Garnet can also wield a miniaturized version of the Jewel Stick for her magic or with Ruby and Sapphy, to summon other Jewelpets from Jewel Land. Garnet is also possessing a Jewel Pot as well.

Sapphy[]

Sapphy (サフィー Sapii?) is Aoi and Sara's Jewelpet partner, she's a yellow and blue Cavalier King Charles spaniel who symbolizes friendship. She wears a pink and blue flower tiara and a necklace shaped like a blue music note. Sapphy knows how her human partner is feeling sometimes and she is always with her every time. Friendly, calm and can understand everyone's feelings, Sapphy knows how kind her friends were in both Jewel Land and on Earth. Her only fear is doctors and hospitals. Despite her personality, she's the highest ranking Jewelpet in Jewel Land, earning her the "Crystal Class" because her magic is always successful. In Jewelpet Tinkle, she is Sara's Jewelpet partner and also her assistant. Her birthday is on September 1 and her name is based on the Gemstone Sapphire.

Sapphy can also wield a miniaturized version of the Jewel Stick for her magic or with Ruby and Garnet, to summon other Jewelpets from Jewel Land. It's unknown if Sapphy has a Jewel Pot.

Rin (リン Rin?) is Moldavite's Jewelpet partner, she is a green Parakeet who symbolizes prosperity. She wears a pink bow on the back of her head and a necklace shaped like a yellow butterfly. Appearing in the first season, Rin always talks about business and economy and uses an abacus to calculate. She also speaks in a Kansai dialect and is prone to funny jokes. In Jewelpet Tinkle, she appeared alongside Moldavite, greeting the new students in Jewel Land, including Ruby. Her speeches ends with "rin". Her birthday is on November 23 and her name is based on the Jewel Citrine.

He has a love interest with one of the Jewel Eight, Lapiz (who is under Dian's dark spell), which is the cause of his capture. When in Dian's clutches, he tags along with Diana and Dian with their plans while he tries to convince Lapiz to go back to her usual self and let go of Dian's dark intentions. Him and Lapiz were held captive after Dian's spell on her is broken in Episode 46 but then escaped in Episode 49 to help Rinko and the others. In an episode of Jewelpet Tinkle, Ruby dresses up as King. His birthday is on August 10 and even though his name isn't based on a jewel in the anime, his powers comes from his base jewel, Onyx.

He always doesn't rely in magic on solving things, in fact, he hates on using his Jewel Eyes. Instead, he uses his intelligence to study things and came out with a theory, which sometimes emits a powerful aura from his body. His birthday is on November 3 and his name is based on the mineral Euclase.

Debuting in Episode 24, Kaiya is a Jewelpet who has a Glass Class ranking in her magic and is aware of Mint's condition while working with Diana, thus, she cannot become independent on her own. Mint abandons her in the same episode but after Mint and the rest of the Phantom Herb Thieves betrayed Diana, they went to her side and Kaiya helped them change their ways for the better. She also appeared in Episode 51 and again in Episode 52, convincing Diana that she needed to lend her powers to stop Dark Dian and save her brother from the dark magic. Kaiya reappears again in Jewelpet Tinkle as the Jewelpet partner of Marinanne, the series' main antagonist. She, Amelie and Riru challenged Ruby, Garnet and Sapphy into a cooking battle. Debuting in Episode 26 and again in Episode 51, she is a legendary Jewelpet who restored Jewel Land 1000 years ago after becoming a barren, war-torn landscape and banished evil and dark magic in both worlds. Because of her supreme power to cause miracles, she can only be awakened using the Jewel Stick and with someone who has the Superior Crystal Class Magic ranking. She can also appear when a great crisis befalls both worlds and stops it from happening. In Episode 51, her powers were ineffective against Dark Dian, thus lending her powers to the Jewel Stick with the other Jewelpets to defeat Dark Dian once and for all. In Jewelpet Tinke, she was once the Jewelpet partner of Alma before she created Diana. Her birthday is on October 3 and her name is based on the gemstone Opal.

Originally debuting in the first season as a baby Jewelpet born by using Rakumajo's magic, she's a genius child who has the Super Crystal Class ranking, which means that all of her magic is very successful. All of her speeches ends in "Rabu". In Jewelpet Tinkle, Labra is a young prankster and loves making jokes in Jewel Land, especially to Ruby, but sometimes gets scared and cries a lot, which can cause powerful magical shock-waves that can destroy anything nearby, even statues. She became Akari's second Jewelpet partner after she, Akari and Ruby helped to fix Moldavite's statue. During the events of Episode 12, she is now seen living in Akari's house in the human world along with Ruby and sometimes doesn't want to called a dog due to her species. Her birthday is on December 27 and her name is based on the mineral Labradorite.

Labra and Ruby can cast magic together with Akari during some situations in Jewel Land. In this way, she can amplify more of both Ruby and Akari's magical potential.

His birthday is on August 22 and his name is based on the jewel Sardonyx.

Even though she was under his spell, she understands King's feelings, though she doesn't show it to him. During the events of Episode 46, Dian's spell on her was broken after she realize that she cares for King, making her go to Rinko's side and helped her escape to the Human World. She and King were held captive after then but then escaped in Episode 49 to help Rinko and the others. Her birthday is on September 15 and her name is based on the Stone Lapis lazuli.

He's a bland boy of faction and always speaks in a Kyoto dialect. His birthday is on July 5 and his name is based on the Mineral Chrysocolla.

The unique thing about him is that he doesn't use a broomstick to fly around like the other Jewelpets, instead, he flies using his floppy ears, which serve as wings. All of speeches ends in "Dachi". Both him and Brownie are best friends. He appears again in Jewelpet Tinkle along with Brownie and Nix and is revealed to have a crush on both Garnet and Sapphy. His human partner is not yet named. His birthday is on March 3 and his name is based on the jewel Alexandrite.

Brownie (ブラウニー Burowni?) is the eight and final member of the Jewel Eight. He's a yellow Hedgehog with blue prickles who symbolizes imagination. He wears a purple bow tie with a brown jewel in the middle. Diana (ダイアナ Diana?) is one of the main villains of Jewelpet and Alma's secondary partner in Jewelpet Tinkle. She's a Black Munchkin cat with white paws who can use the forbidden dark magic called Dark Eyes Power (ダークアイズパワー?). She also wears a lace-trimmed pink waistcoat, a pink bow, and a silver heart-shaped necklace. She's Dian's younger sister, who got sealed by the Four Great Magicians of Jewel Land many years ago due to her foolish acts. She was unsealed during the events of Episode 2 due to the Phantom Thieves, thinking it was the kitten they found. Her mission is to defeat the Four Witches of Jewel Land and rule both worlds by her power. Although she can be snobbish, evil and sometimes jealous to Rinko, her magic however, is strong (which can be distinguished from the black to purple colored paw on the victim), casting it to a human or object in which the Jewel Charms were hiding, which can be broken by someone confessing their weakness. She always lets her minions, the Phantom Herb Thieves to do her bidding on stealing the Jewelpets and collecting them to break the seal that keeps Dian imprisoned. But time and time again, she and the gang failed on getting every single one of them. She has a fear of bananas and sometimes hates Ruby. After the events of Episode 26, the Phantom Thieves betrayed her and Diana went solo on collecting the remaining Jewelpets. But in the end, she successfully freed Dian from the Ice Prison. In Episode 52, she channeled her Jewel Power to the Jewel Stick along with the other Jewelpets and defeated Dark Dian, while opening her brother's heart to the truth that Jewelpets and humans must co-exist in harmony and tell him he has friends in Jewel Land to accept him and Diana. After that, they both changed their ways. In Jewelpet Tinkle, she appears along with Alma, mysteriously watching over Akari and her friend's actions. She personally appeared in front of Akari in Episode 20 and revealed that she was created by Alma in Episode 23. Diana's name is based on Diamond and her birthday is on April 20.

Diana has a black version of the Jewel Pocketbook which she uses to identify which Jewelpet she will receive. It was also used to unlock the Jewel Stick along with the one that Rinko has. In Jewelpet Tinkle, she carries a mirror just like Garnet does.

Phantom Herb Thieves[]

The Phantom Herb Thieves (怪盗ハーブ団 Kaito Haabu dan?) are a group of not-so-lucky people that Diana hired to find all the Jewelpets on Earth. The three were formed by Mint (ミント Minto?) (female leader and Kaiya's human partner), Sage (セージ Sagii?) (second member, male) and Aoisho (アオジソ Aoiisho?) (third member and the glutton of the group as well as Kohaku's Human partner). Their real names are unknown. During the events of Episode 26, they betrayed Diana after the Jewelstick was unveiled and went with Kaiya, changing their lives for the better. The trio were seen again in Episode 51, helping Rinko and the others stop Dian.

Dian (ディアン Deian?) is the main villain of Jewelpet and Leon's partner in Jewelpet Tinkle. He's a grey Maine Coon cat who with Diana, can also use forbidden dark magic, but in a powerful version called Obsidian Eyes Power (オブシディアンアイズパワー?). He wears a black round orb necklace and a black and red cape in Season One. Debuting in Episode 33, He's Diana's older brother, who despises both humans and the Four Great Magicians of Jewel Land on how they see the Jewelpets and somehow lead a rebellion in Jewel Land during early times. In one scene, he used his magic to cause havoc on Earth and turned all the people into stone. Due to his tyranny, the Great Magicians had no choice but to seal him up in his jewel charm form and into an ice prison in the Bermuda Triangle, in which no Jewelpet nor human can enter. He was awakened by Diana by her magic and he started to cause havoc on Earth by using his captured Jewelpets to do his bidding. Unlike Diana, Dian casts his magic to the Jewelpets themselves causing them to turn evil and the only way Rinko can get them back is through the Jewel Games. Dian can also assume his human form under the name Andy (Anagram for Dian) to seduce Rinko for him to obtain the Jewel Stick. In Episode 47, he successfully captured Rinko due to his magic and "proposed" to her for marriage and in Episode 48, he finally got the Jewel Stick from Rinko's grasp. In Episode 49, he successfully defeated the Four Witches, turning them into stone and planned to go to the Human World using his new dark powers. It was believed in Episode 50 that he already absorbed some of the Jewel Stick's powers after Rinko and Akira reclaimed it for her and his form changed to Dark Dian after the dark magic took over his body, making him more powerful and have more disgust in both humans and Jewelpets during the events of Episode 51.[1] His true intention however is to destroy Jewel Land and take over the Earth, while eradicating every human being in the world, out of belief that the world is filled with nothing but lies, and plunge the world into eternal despair and darkness. Dark Dian was defeated in Episode 52 by Rinko, Minami, Aoi and all of the Jewelpet's combined powers which opened his heart to the fact that Jewelpets and Humans must co-exist in harmony and to know he has friends in Jewel Land to accept him and Diana. After that, he and Diana changed their ways for the better. In Jewelpet Tinkle, he is Leon's Jewelpet Partner, who doesn't speak a lot due to an incident that made him lose his voice. He first met Leon several years ago, in front of the gravestone of his pet dog who recently died and told him if Leon wanted to be his partner to ease his sadness. Leon accepts his offer and the two became inseparable. Dian's birthday is on January 20 and his name is based on the Igneous Rock Obsidian.

Dian wields a black, evil version of the Jewel Stick, which was originally Rinko's. In Episode 50, Akira and Rinko reclaimed the Jewel Stick but all of its powers were gone.

Season 2[]

Alma[]

Alma (アルマ Aruma?) is both Diana and Opal's Human partner and the Main Villain in the first half of Jewelpet Tinkle. Sometimes called as the "Strongest Wizard in Jewel Land" by Diana, She is a mysterious person who looks like Yuma except for the long braided hair at the back and the black outfit she wears. In the recent episodes, she is usually hiding in the shadows either watching over Akari or she is seeing if she is able to do magic well, and her face is covered to prevent her identity to be revealed. Her face is revealed in Episode 7, watching over her through a crystal ball. In Episode 23, She is revealed to Akari and her friends alongside Diana. Alma's parents died a long time ago during her childhood and Jewelina adopted her as her foster child. She then entrusted Halite and Moldavite to take care of her while in the Magic Academy. During that time, she didn't want to interact with everyone else around her or make new friends. She has overwhelming abilities and magical powers that can even rival Jewelina herself, but her magic has a terrible side effect as it drains away all of her life force and using it continuously would result to her death. Its also unknown if she is going to be in the Jewel Star Grand Prix. It was revealed further in Episode 24 that Alma was actually a girl after Opal used her Jewel Flash, gaining her magical costume until she collapsed. She and Yuma were once a single person. But how the both of them were separated is currently unknown.
