Pilot: 1996

The pilot episode of Hey Arnold! was released by Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies on July 10, 1996 in theaters with Nickelodeon's first movie, Harriet the Spy. It was later remade into the episode "24 Hours to Live" which was shown on February 3, 1997.

When Lieutenant Major Goose from the army ends up being their next teacher, the kids try to get Mr. Simmons back.

After this gaffe, Nickelodeon did not rerun the episode until November 19, 2003, when they repeated the same mistake.
