Kurt Heinecke (born in Cullman, Alabama) is an American composer, photographer and voice actor who works for Big Idea Productions, and who has created or co-created much of the popular music associated with VeggieTales.

He graduated from Cullman High School in 1982.

Kurt studied music education at University of Montevallo, and Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.

Kurt met Phil Vischer (creator of VeggieTales) in the Park Community Church in Chicago, Illinois.

His credits are on most (if not all) of the VeggieTales productions, including 3-2-1 Penguins!, and Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie. In 2008 Kurt made the music for The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: A VeggieTales Movie.

In 2005 Kurt Heinecke made the music for Tim Hodge's Soccer Mom Detective.

Heinecke has been a photographer since high school, he's taken pictures of weddings and portraits, he owns his own photography studio in Franklin, Tennessee.

The Heineckes currently reside in the Nashville airea.

He once played in a band called the DEATHSTAR.
