J. G. Quintel (born September 13, 1982) is an American Televison Writer, Animator and Voice Actor. He is best known as the creator of the cartoon Regular Show.

Background

Quintel graduated Hanford High School in 2000, and spent two years at College of the Sequoias and College of the Canyons in Valencia, California before transferring to California Institute of the Arts.[1] He created the short films, 2 in the AM PM and The Naive Man From Lolliland, the later for which he won both 'Producers Choice Award' and 'Student Award' at the 2nd Annual Nicktoons Network Animation Festival.[2][3][4]

In 2006 Qunitel was chosen as a judge for the 3rd Annual Nicktoons Network Animation Festival.[2][3][4] Also in 2006 he began as writer and storyboard artist for Camp Lazlo. In 2008 he began as writer, creative director, and storyboard artist for The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack,[5] for which work he received a 2010 Annie Award nomination.[6] In 2009 he created the Cartoon Network series Regular Show, for which he is also writer, director, storyboard artist, and producer.[7]
