InuYasha

InuYasha (from Japanese 犬夜叉: inu is dog, yasha is demon) is an anime and manga series created by Rumiko Takahashi. InuYasha is a shōnen action, adventure, romance, comedy, and horror.

The first manga starts out in Tokyo, Japan, with a girl in high school named Kagome Higurashi. One day when she goes to a Shinto shrine located on her parent's property in order to get her cat, Buyo, from the well because her brother is too afraid to go there. When she get there a centipede demon bursts out of the well and grabs her.

The centipede says that Kagome has the Jewel of Four Souls and trys to take it. Somehow she gets rid of the demon by a mysterious power; confused, she ends up in the Sengoku period of Japan. She then meets up with a old Shinto Priestess who tells her a story of a powerful priestess name Kikyo and how she sealing a demon named InuYasha to the time tree.
